I spent my Thursday morning at the Casino. Yes. I am an old person. It should be noted that I did not go alone... That would have been ridiculously sad. The parents decided they wanted to be high rollers.
I actually was up $80, but wound up with nothing. I was playing a penny slot called "Miss Kitty," and I just couldn't stop hitting the bet button!! (The graphical elements of said game including a cat with diamond eyes.) I now know why people get gambling problems.
So yeah. That happened. FYI: the casino buffet was a delight.

Rainy day delights
Do you ever wake up in the morning looking like something you would find in your drain? Today was one of those days for me. I could have been a before photo for a Proactiv commercial. Rough times.
So I really needed to look at something aesthetically pleasing - cue museum trip. Thanks to being a student, I get to go to all museums for free, so I made today a museum day. Perfect rainy day activity. The Carnegie Museum has a great Teenie Harris exhibition through November 1. It features some great old photographs of the Hill District. The Associate Artists of Pittsburgh annual show is up now as well, which honestly, has some weird crap in it. But both exhibitions are worth a visit for sure.

my first post.
Due to popular demand (or dillusions of being popular...), I've decided it was about time to start a blog. It is also my birthday week. And I always get introspective when I am about to be super old. But even though I'm now officially an old lady, I am still ridiculous.
Sooo if you enjoy reading stories of true awkwardness, you will be pleased :)
